Stop Children Grinding Teeth

When a parent discovers that their child has a problem the first thing they may want to know is how to stop children grinding teeth? Though there may not be an instant answer for this question knowing what to look for and what to do when it happens will allow parents to get their child they help they need. There is now way to know exactly why some children experience this condition and why some don’t. But for those who do experience this condition known as Bruxism many times there is very little discomfort but there could be some wearing down of the teeth.

The ages of children that mostly experience this condition is between the ages of 5-7 though any child can suffer from this condition. Many times the baby teeth will show wear but the child may not experience any discomfort however if the wear is excessive or is happening to their adult teeth it would be wise to contact the family dentist. Another reason to contact the dentist is if the child is experiencing pain from this condition. Seeing the dentist may not stop children grinding teeth but it will allow the dentist to give the family treatment options.
